Officers from the Rockland Police Department arrested Jose Henriquez-Paulino, 24, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, on Wednesday on drug trafficking charges following a routine traffic stop.

Police were conducting routine proactive traffic enforcement on Old Country Road around 2:00 PM when they pulled over Henriquez-Paulino for a driving irregularity.

During the stop, officers became suspicious that Henriquez-Paulino was trafficking drugs. A search reportedly revealed over 55 grams of illegal drugs, including cocaine, crack cocaine, and fentanyl, along with firearms and other evidence of drug trafficking.

Officers arrested Henriquez-Paulino, and he is facing charges of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs.

The Rockland Police Department also reaffirmed its commitment to proactively investigating community tips warning of drug crimes.
