Congresswoman Chellie Pingree shared the following thoughts on Memorial Day:
“Today we remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our countries, our values and our freedoms. Since last Memorial Day 290 Americans have given their lives in defense of their country, including two with ties to Maine. Today we remember them and all the other millions of men and women who have given their lives in the service of our country.”
