VIDEO: King, Summers, Dill differ on tax reform

In this debate over tax reform, Angus King said he is dating Simpson-Bowles, but not married to them. “I only paid 15%,” he said of his tax rate. Charlie Summers said, “We cannot afford to pay more taxes in this economy,” and Cynthia Dill said she supports a financial transaction tax to make Wall Street fat cats pay more.

King, Summers and Cynthia Dill are seeking election to fill U.S. Senator Olympia Snowe’s seat. Former governor Angus King calls himself an independent candidate. Summers is the Republican candidiate, and Dill is the Democratic nominee. The debate was held Wednesday, Oct. 10 in front of 350 people at a breakfast meeting of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston.
