Republican state lawmakers endorse Misiuk

Isaac KRCCAUGUSTA – A host of Republican lawmakers have endorsed Isaac Misiuk in his bid to oust incumbent Democrat Rep. Chellie Pingree, the Misiuk campaign announced Monday.

The list of endorsees includes Senate Minority Leader Mike Thibodeau (R-Waldo), Assistant Leader Roger Katz (R-Kennebec), House Minority Leader Ken Fredette (R-Newport) and Assistant Leader Alex Willette (R-Mapelton).

“I am excited to have the support of so many members of the Maine State Legislature,” said Misiuk. “These endorsements show that our party is united in creating a better future for generations to come.  I look forward to spending the summer campaigning with our state legislators, listening to the concerns of Mainers’ across the First District.”

Other GOP lawmakers who have endorsed Misiuk include: Sens. Ron Collins of York, Jim Hamper of Oxford, Patrick Flood of Kennebec, Gary Plummer of Cumberland, Garrett Mason of Androscoggin, Tom Saviello of Franklin, Andre Cushing of Penobscot; and Reps. Paul Bennett of Kennebunk, Kathleen Chase of Wells, Ellie Espling of New Gloucester, Jon Kinney of Limington, Mike McClellan of Raymond, Don Marean of Hollis, Mel Newendyke of Litchfield, Matthew Pouliot of Augusta, Deb Sanderson of Chelsea, Amy Volk of Scarborough, Windol Weaver of York, and Ellen Winchenbach of Waldoboro.

Misiuk, 25, resides in Gorham.
