A Bangor man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison after he was caught by police in possession of multiple illegal drugs and a firearm while out on bail.

Allen Henry, 49, was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District court in Bangor to 168 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for possessing controlled substances with the intent to distribute and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Henry previously pleaded guilty on May 23, 2023.

According to court documents, in May 2022, Brewer Police responded to a call for service and located Henry in a parked vehicle.

After a record check, police discovered Henry had an active warrant out for his arrest and bail conditions prohibiting him from using or possessing any alcohol or illegal drugs, stemming from a 2013 state felony conviction.

A search of Henry’s vehicle revealed more than 400 grams of fentanyl, approximately 30 grams of cocaine base and a firearm.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Brewer Police Department investigated this case.
