Portland Police responded late Sunday night to reports of gunfire on Eleanor Street.

At about 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, Portland Police officers arrived at 12 Eleanor St. to find the front of a duplex peppered with bullet holes.

Police say that officers could smell gas due to a gas line being struck by the gunfire.

The Portland Fire Department responded to the scene and turned off the gas line, and notified the utility company Unitil.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and have not yet announced any suspects.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward by contacting the Portland Police Department at (207) 874-8575 or text PPDME and a message to 847411.

Portland is such a nice city run by the Democrats.

Time for the liberals on the Portland City Counsel to declare Portland a gun free city. That’ll solve the problem.
