Maine Civic Action, an organization focused on educating Mainers on free markets and individual liberties, announced on Friday that its inaugural event for 2025 will feature Charlie Kirk, a top conservative influencer and founder of Turning Point USA.

“The future of our state and nation depends on training the next generation to be active members of their communities and to advance liberty,” said Maine Civic Action’s announcement.

Kirk has been a popular advocate for President Donald Trump among younger voters in particular, has appeared on numerous high-profile conservative broadcasts, and his writings have been featured in a variety of outlets, including Fox News, The Hill, RealClearPolitics, and others.

Turning Point USA is a student movement that promotes conservative values. It is the largest and fastest-growing conservative youth activist group in the country and has had over 650,000 student members.

Kirk will speak at the Maine Civic Action event on August 2nd, set to be held at the Dunegrass Golf Club in Old Orchard Beach.

Maine Civic Action is a 501(c)(4) non-profit dedicated to “energizing the next generation of lovers of liberty to become active and engaged in the issues facing their community.”

It works to give citizens the tools they need to engage with government and to “represent the philosophy of freedom in their community,” according to its promotional materials.

Full Disclosure: Maine Civic Action is the Sister Organization of the Maine Policy Institute, of which The Maine Wire is a project.
