A 57-year-old Warren man is facing multiple charges following an alleged break-in and assault at a residence in Owls Head.

According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Daryl D. Green Sr., 57, allegedly broke into a home in Owls Head late Sunday night.

Green is alleged to have assaulted the people inside of the home before fleeing.

Green was arrested Monday morning and was charged with burglary, aggravated assault, unlawful sexual touching and criminal use of an electronic weapon.

Under Maine’s criminal code, an “electronic weapon” means a portable device or weapon from which an electrical current, impulse, wave or beam may be directed, which current, impulse, wave or beam is designed to have a disabling effect upon human beings.  

No details were provided by the Sheriff’s Office regarding what the electronic weapon Green allegedly used. They also did not indicate if the people inside of the home were injured, or to what degree.
