First Tiger Woods thought he could get out of a DUI arrest by telling the cops he had just gotten off the phone with the president of the United States.

But now the owner of 15 majors – major “lies” that is – is taking it yet a step further, claiming Trump apologized to him for announcing that Woods would not be playing the Masters.

Tiger claims Trump told him he was sorry for publicly stating the golfer would not play in the 2026 Masters tournament.

Woods revealed the alleged apology to officers following his recent car crash, claiming Trump was “very apologetic” for his previous comment on Fox News’ “The Five.”

Right after Woods overturned his car, as he was walking toward deputy sheriffs, he said “I just got off the phone with the president.”

Since that claim, the lamestream media has taken Woods at his word that he had actually talked to Trump.

After the crash, Trump told reporters that his supposedly close friend is facing “some difficulty.”

Some difficulty with the truth that is.

Woods has had a chronically awkward relationship with the truth during much of his public life.

Following revelations of multiple extramarital affairs, Woods admitted seven years ago he “lived a lie” and cheated on his then-wife, Elin Nordegren.

Tiger’s latest tall tale may have come following his most recent rollover accident when he tried to tell cops at the scene the reason he rolled his car is because “I looked at my phone to change the radio station.”

So when he told the cops at the scene he had been “looking down at his cell phone and changing the radio station” in his SUV, it sounded like another lie.

He wasn’t likely looking at his phone and changing the radio station at the same time. It just doesn’t make any sense.

One bad lie after another – only way to keep another “major” out of his grasp.
