As the 2024 Republican presidential primary election season is set to kick off with the Iowa Caucus Monday evening, former President Donald Trump has put out a series of posts attacking primary challenger Vivek Ramaswamy.

Ramaswamy, a political outsider who during presidential campaign has routinely praised Trump for his accomplishments as president, received backlash over the weekend from supporters of the former president in response to a picture Ramaswamy posted to X with his supporters who were wearing shirts reading “Save Trump Vote Vivek.”

Just over an hour after Ramaswamy shared the picture, Trump took to Truth Social, writing that “Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter,” but that “now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks.”

“Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the ‘other side’ — don’t get duped by this,” Trump wrote Saturday. “Vote for ‘TRUMP,’ don’t waste your vote! Vivek is not MAGA.”

Ramaswamy responded to the former president in a lengthy post to X Saturday night, calling the attack “an unfortunate move by [Trump’s] campaign advisors.”

“Donald Trump was the greatest President of the 21st century, and I’m not going to criticize him in response to this late attack,” Ramaswamy wrote.

Ramaswamy expressed his concerned that “this ‘system’ won’t allow Donald J. Trump anywhere near the White House again.”

“It seems they will stop at *nothing* to keep him away from power,” he wrote.

Yes, I saw President Trump’s Truth Social post. It’s an unfortunate move by his campaign advisors, I don’t think friendly fire is helpful. Donald Trump was the greatest President of the 21st century, and I’m not going to criticize him in response to this late attack.

I’ve met…

Ramaswamy also noted his efforts to defend Trump amid the several indictments he is facing, and his pledge to remove himself from Maine’s and Colorado’s primary ballots if they succeed in barring Trump from appearing on their ballots.

“They want to narrow this to a two-horse race between Trump & [Nikki Haley], eliminate Trump (one way or other), & trot their puppet into the White House,” Ramaswamy wrote. “We can’t fall for that trap. 1 year from now, we won’t look back and say we were shocked that it happened. We’ll kick ourselves for not stopping it.”

Despite Ramaswamy’s conciliatory approach to the attack from Trump, the former commander-in-chief put out another post slamming Vivek on Monday.

“A VOTE FOR VIVEK IS A WASTED VOTE,” Trump wrote. “I LIKE VIVEK, BUT HE PLAYED IT TOO ‘CUTE’ WITH US.”

In response to the second attack, Ramaswamy reaffirmed his defense of and respect for Trump while asking Iowans for their vote over the former president.

“I’m asking for your vote tonight because I believe it’s the right thing for our country,” Ramaswamy wrote on X on the morning of caucus day. “We cannot walk into the other side’s trap & watch the puppet masters quietly trot [Nikki Haley] into power.”

I’ve defended Trump at every step & respect him immensely. You won’t hear me attacking him. I’m asking for your vote tonight because I believe it’s the right thing for our country. According to current 538 polling averages, Vivek is at 6.4 percent in Iowa as of caucus day — in fourth place behind Trump, former South Carolina Governor and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

    Connor for Trump!

  2. Connor on January 15, 2024 8:04 PM

More and more boomer Republicans are drooling over Nikki Haley. Watching the conservatives run around like chickens with their head’s cut off is entertainment for all us. On the Left, we are well organized, disciplined, obedient, and devoted to our Progressive Revolution that is steam-rolling over you all

  3. Red on January 16, 2024 6:06 AM

    @ Connor

Boomers are in their 70’s and 80’s.

Boomer is a term coined after the baby boom of WWII

Your fear of people in retirement is laughable. Everyone is laughing at you millennials

No one is drooling over a neo con female jew lover. She is Kashmir first. Indians hate Muslims. That is why she is pro Palestinian genocide, Also, she is not eligible to be president or vice president anyway. Neither of her parents were citizens at the time of her birth. Thus she is not a naturalized citizen. If you had read the U.S Constitution instead of shoving it up your butt you would have known that.

Trump is a three term president.

    Trump won in 2016
Trump won in 2020 (exiled to mar a lago resort by the corrupt marxist biden regime)
    Trump will win in 2024

    Trump – 2024 🇺🇸

You are really ignorant and lazy. You have zero organizational skills. You survive on weed and coffee.

  4. Connor on January 16, 2024 6:41 AM

    Ok Boomer

Don’t get too excited Maga Man. Trump barely got half the votes in one of the reddest states in the Country. De’Santis voters & Haley voters hate Trump. Trump won’t be on all the ballots and many on the right are abandoning him. Day by day we are dwindling his support. Mark my words, he will never be president again.

  5. RockSolidRepublican on January 16, 2024 9:42 AM

As of this morning, Vivek is officially out of the race and endorses Trump. Now,move on to concentrate on shutting Shameful Sheena up, to get Trump on the docket. Trump WILL be our rightful President again… Marxist democrats are losers! We won’t accept their TRICKERY anymore!!!

  6. RockSolidRepublican on January 16, 2024 9:50 AM

BTW, TRUMP, last night, won ALL 99 Iowa precincts! The big “take back America” tsunami is coming! Hey, last commenter, Connor, recheck marking your words and buckle up…Hahahahaha

And one day latter lil Vic the Rino Globalist is gone. Now to get rid of the war mongering I’d vote for Hunter Bidens crack pipe before Nili Haley
