An investigation from the Washington Examiner revealed that taxpayer funded health care centers are partnering with a non-profit which seeks to register patients to vote early in the 2024 election.
The Washington Examiner believes the group has a significant bias in favor of President Joe Biden.
The non-profit, Vot-ER, partners with numerous other non-profit health groups and “get-out-and-vote” non-profits, including the George Soros funded League of Women Voters, which has been active in Maine, distributing fliers targeting non-citizens and encouraging them to register to vote.

Many of the non-profit health care organizations which partner with Vot-ER receive billions of dollars in federal funding, and some of them have received a recent funding boost of $4.4 billion thanks to President Biden.
It is technically legal for a non-profit to promote get-out-and-vote and voter registration campaigns in hospitals, but only if it does so without any partisan bias. However, this requirement for non-partisanship is easily undermined for partisan reasons by focusing paid get-out-the-vote efforts in areas where the local population is thought to lean in a certain partisan direction.
Despite claims made on the organization’s website, a Washington Examiner investigation revealed that the group is far from unbiased.
“Vot-ER is a progressive hub poised to play a key role in voter mobilization in the lead-up to November,” said the Washington Examiner.
Through public record requests, the Examiner determined that the company has a direct link to an executive order issued by Biden in 2021, intended to expand voter registration by allowing government agencies to take help from approved non-profits.
That executive order has raised concern among many conservatives that it will be used to approve left-leaning groups, which will in turn disproportionately target probable Biden voters, essentially allowing non-profits to engage illegally in partisan voter registration campaigns.
During a meeting on the executive order, which executives of Vot-ER attended, the parties involved discussed ways to register illegal immigrants to vote, according to the Washington Examiner.
The Examiner found that Vot-ER conducted some of its activities at Campesinos Sin Fronteras, a health center near the Arizona-Mexico border which reportedly works with illegal immigrants, and receives millions of dollars in federal funding.
Vot-Er is both led and funded by people and groups with a history of strong left-wing bias.
Its founder, Alistair Martin, worked in the White House Office of Public Engagement during the Biden Administration, and currently advises the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The non-profit’s executive officer, Aliya Bhatia, who is paid over $155,000 per year for her work with the organization, reportedly donated to the Biden campaign in 2020.
The group’s chief-of-staff, Leah Ford, prefers they/them pronouns, and has previously served as a campaign manager for a Tennessee Democrat, a “Speaking Race to Power Fellow” at the left wing Social Movements + Innovation Lab, and a community engagement and advocacy coordinator at Planned Parenthood.
In addition to its ties to the Biden Administration, and its left-wing executives, the non-profit also receives funding from multiple Democrat mega-donor organizations.
Vot-ER received grants from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, which also funds the League of Women Voters, the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, and the New York Times.
Boston Foundation, which gives money to Planned Parenthood, also funded Vot-ER.
The non-profit also counts the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) among its donors; the RWJF has contributed to the Clinton Foundation, and was a strong advocate for the implementation of ObamaCare.
Despite the political affiliation of all of its executives and donors, along with its affiliation with the Biden Administration, Vot-Er has maintained that it conducts its business in an unbiased manner.
“We ensure that our voter engagement efforts do not support or oppose any political party or candidate,” said Bhatia in response to questions from the Washington Examiner.
Of course we believe you… “We ensure that our voter engagement efforts do not support or oppose any political party or candidate,” said Bhatia in response to questions from the Washington Examiner.
