During an interview with Conservative commentator Jordan Peterson released on Monday, Elon Musk denied claims made by the Wall Street Journal last week that he would be donating $45 million per month to the America PAC, a political action committee that supports former President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign.

“What’s been reported in the media is simply not true,” said Musk “I am not donating $45 million a month to Trump.”

Despite Musk’s clear denial of the Wall Street Journal’s reporting, several mainstream media outlets ran with headlines attempting to twist Musk’s words and create the illusion that Musk had decided to reverse course on his donation.

On Tuesday, Musk responded to the misleading headlines with a clarifying post on X.

“I am making some donations to America PAC, but at a much lower level and the key values of the PAC are supporting a meritocracy & individual freedom. Republicans are mostly, but not entirely, on the side of merit & freedom,” said Musk on X.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous.

Musk admitted that he is donating some money to America PAC, but far less than was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

The original report cited only “people familiar with the matter” as its sources.

The report came just days after Musk issued a formal, complete endorsement of President Trump in response to the failed assassination attempt against him.

A good example of the msm deceptiveness. They are always twisting and turning the facts to fit their ideology. Truth isn’t in their lexicon.
