The Ecology of Grief: MOFGA Event Admission Free Unless You’re White

The latest case of fighting racism with racism comes with an added dash of climate change hysteria-induced mental illness, courtesy if the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardners Association (MOFGA).

On Aug. 24 from 9:00am to 12:00pm, MOFGA will host “Ecology of Grief: Mourning and Celebrating Changing Forests,” a workshop intended to help people cope with their neuroticism over climate change.

The event is free to attend… unless you’re white.

For whites, the cost of admission is between $50 to $125; MOFGA members are asked to chip in $75.

Leading the grief counseling session are Elizabeth Grey, a professional facilitator with an English degree and a Master’s in Education, and Alice Hotopp, an ecologist who is pursuing a PhD.

Grey is also a “certified” yoga teacher and mindful educator who “finds a particular kinship with birds.”

Hotopp has spent her post-grad studying Maine’s “imperiled tidal marsh sparrows.”

“[Hotopp’s] work grapples with finding purpose and hope while facing environmental and personal loss,” MOFGA’s event listing says.

Coffee, tea, water, and snacks will be provided.

So, if you’re “bipoc” (can’t believe I know what that means, though I’m still catching up on other abbreviations) how much is it to attend?

Quote from the actual event page: “Please feel free to pay what you can afford on this scale, keeping in mind our goals are to cover our costs, pay instructors, and extend this learning opportunity to many in our community. Recommended price for MOFGA members is $75; recommended general admission price is $100. Participants in MOFGA’s Journeyperson program and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) are welcome to register at no cost.”

It doesn’t say anything about having to pay if you are white, or that BIPOC can’t pay.

We need to figure out how they get people to believe such foolishness. By comparison getting people to believe the truth should be easy.
