Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced his opposition to former Republican President Donald Trump shortly before flying to America and cozying up to top Democrats.

The New Yorker magazine published an interview on Sunday in which Zelenskyy bashed President Trump and his running mate, U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio).

“My feeling is that Trump doesn’t really know how to stop the war even if he might think he knows how,” said Zelenskyy.

He was even harsher in his criticism of Sen. Vance, calling him “too radical” for his suggestion that Ukraine should surrender territory to Russia to end its losing war.

The Ukrainian president suggested that Vance was ignorant of World War Two history and implied that Russian control of Ukrainian territory would lead to something like the Holocaust.

Zelenskyy gave the interview while still in Ukraine, but its publication coincided with his most recent fundraising tour of the U.S.

On the day the interview was released, the Ukrainian ruler was touring a Pennsylvania munitions facility with Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-Penn.) while making the case for Congress to send him more weapons and money at U.S. taxpayer expense.

Zelenskyy drew the ire of many conservatives when he flew into the Keystone State on taxpayers’ dime aboard an Air Force C-17A aircraft after making political statements against Trump during his interview.

Gov. Shapiro further angered conservatives after he posted a video of himself and Zelenskyy signing a 155 mm artillery shell set to ship to Ukraine and potentially be used on Russian territory.

“We must all do our part in the fight for freedom — from the workers in Scranton who make Pennsylvania the arsenal of democracy to the brave Ukrainian soldiers protecting their country. We stand with Ukraine in their just defense of their homeland in the face of Russian aggression,” said Shapiro on X along with the video.

The video from the key swing state, combined with Zelenskyy’s comments about Trump, sparked outraged responses from Republican politicians.

“I am 100% against this and so are most Americans. The U.S. is funding the Ukraine Gov at $1 billion/month to keep it running and funding most of the war by providing weapons, ammo, and equipment. The U.S. should be negotiating peace not fueling war,” said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.)

“Zelensky is openly campaigning for Democrats in battleground Pennsylvania today some 50 days out from our Presidential election. Unreal,” said Sen. Eric Schmidt (R-Mo.)

Donald Trump Jr. weighed in with his own criticism, tying Zelenskyy’s attack on Trump and Vance to the alleged second Trump gunman Ryan Routh’s fanatical support for Ukraine.

“So a foreign leader who has received billions of dollars in funding from American taxpayers, comes to our country and has the nerve to attack the GOP ticket for President? And he does this right after a pro-Ukraine zealot tried to assassinate my father? Disgraceful,” said Trump. Jr.

The latest Ukraine controversy comes as Vice President Kamala Harris plans to leverage her support for Ukraine into an electoral victory.

Harris is banking on the historical animosity between Poland and Russia to win votes among the Polish-American population in key swing states like Pennsylvania.

I see young Ukraine asking for US dollars in Florida. We had Young ukrians working for a national company in our area of Maine this summer. Now there are getting 350,000,000 of our money. Why are they not back in there owne country fighting for their mother land? Will they not ask for our government to send our kids over there to fight for their land? World 3 is comming. Do you want VP Harris to the Comander and Chief???
