President Joe Biden awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the nation, to Hillary Clinton and Democratic megadonor George Soros on Saturday, just days after giving Liz Cheney a lesser award.
“These nineteen individuals are great leaders who have made America and the world a better place. They are great leaders because they are good people who have made extraordinary contributions to their country and the world,” said the White House press release on the awards.
President Biden determined that Hillary Clinton, former First Lady and unsuccessful 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, met the criteria for the award and has made “exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal, public, or private endeavors.”
“I was honored to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom yesterday in a ceremony at the White House. Thank you, President Biden,” said Clinton on X.
Despite Biden’s high praise, Clinton’s career in politics has been rife with controversies.
The 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya, is perhaps Clinton’s most infamous controversy.
While serving as Secretary of State in the Obama Administration, Clinton delayed emergency assistance to Americans facing an attack from Islamic extremists, resulting in the deaths of four Americans.
Her use of a private email server for classified and work-related communications also stands out among her numerous controversies and was a common talking point among her opponents during the 2016 election.
Clinton allegedly destroyed her email servers and smashed personal devices with a hammer in an attempt to conceal evidence of wrongdoing.
Biden did not believe any of Clinton’s numerous controversies should preclude her from receiving the nation’s highest civilian honor.
Clinton wasn’t the only top Democrat to be honored by Biden as he prepares to leave the White House.
Democratic mega-donor and billionaire activist George Soros also received recognition from the lame-duck president.
Soros, a Hungarian native, is famous for donating millions to a wide variety of Democratic causes and candidates, from a radical climate agenda to funding soft-on-crime prosecutors across the country.

Last year, Soros became the largest shareholder in Audacity, the second-largest chain of radio stations in the country.
He also backs the National Trust for Local News, which now owns the majority of Maine news outlets, including the Portland Press Herald.
Others awarded the Medal of Freedom alongside Soros and Clinton included actor Denzel Washington, U2 lead singer Bono, software programmer and LGBT activist Tim Gill, and TV host and radical COVID lockdown supporter Bill Nye “the science guy.”
Maybe Biden’s Marxist puppeteers are running amok.
OBiden just reduced in importance the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the same level as a Little League participation trophy.
Where is George Soros? His son accepted George Soros’ medal. Please mention this in the article, that his son accepted the medal for his dad, who has not been seen in public for over a yeaar.
