Deputies arrived at the store on Saturday afternoon, and heard witnesses claim that a suspect, Randy Marcotte, 64, of Alfred was chasing people around.

While deputies were responding, Marcotte allegedly fled in a white Dodge pickup truck. Deputy Titcomb saw the truck travelling westbound on Alfred Road in Lyman and initiated a traffic stop.

During the stop, deputies discovered an arsenal of melee weapons that violated bail conditions preventing him from committing further crimes or owning dangerous weapons, including two knives, a makeshift club, a hatchet, and a set of nunchucks.

He was also in possession of the truncated hockey stick, with which he had allegedly been haranguing store patrons and passers-by.

Deputies arrested Marcotte and charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, violating his conditions of release, and misdemeanor driving to endanger.

He is currently being held without bail based on his bail violation.
