At approximately 5:45 p.m., officers arrested Grace Burnham, 38, of West Bath, at her home.

There was a fire at the same residence on March 14.

That fire destroyed a small barn on the property that was being used to house goats.

Burnham was transported to the Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, where she faces charges of arson, failure to report or control a dangerous fire, and animal cruelty, though none of the goats were actually harmed in the blaze.

The investigation was conducted by the Fire Marshal’s office with assistance from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department and the West Bath Animal Control Officer.
