The New Hampshire State Police busted two alleged child rapists on Friday as the result of two separate investigations.

The NH State Police officers from the Troop F Barracks conducted both investigations and carried out both arrests.

Police first arrested Custer Reed III, 38, of Rumney, NH, on charges of felony aggravated sexual assault involving a juvenile female.

Officers then arrested Jeremiah Godfrey, 38, of Wentworth, NH, and charged him with possession of child pornography, felony sexual assault, and sexual assault involving a juvenile female.

Though the arrests came as the result of two separate investigations, police did not clarify whether the two men’s alleged crimes were related. Police provided few details on the investigations.

Both men were held without bail pending arraignment in the Plymouth District Court on Monday.
