The Londonderry, NH, police department first obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher Rodriguez, 40, of Massachusetts, on August 16, after they investigated allegedly deceptive statements he made during an August 9 encounter with law enforcement.

Police requested assistance in arresting the fugitive Rodriguez from the U.S. Marshals Service New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force (NHTF).

Marshals located Rodriguez on Route 28 near Wellington Road in Manchester on Thursday and apprehended him.

During the arrest, Marshals found and rescued a 15-year-old from North Andover, Massachusetts, whom Rodriguez had allegedly lured away. The North Andover Police Department returned the juvenile to the custody of the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services.

Law enforcement believes that Rodriguez’s association with his alleged victim may have begun as early as 2023.

Rodriguez was transported to the Londonderry Police Department, where he was booked on charges of kidnapping a juvenile, endangering the welfare of a child, hindering apprehension or prosecution, and obstructing governmental administration, among other unspecified charges.

He is currently being held without bail.

Rodriguez was previously convicted of murder in connection with an armed robbery in 1999 and was released from jail in 2017.
