Christopher Tucker, 34, of Topsham, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Portland in March to charges of possessing firearms as a felon and possessing stolen firearms.
He was arrested in 2024 after police responded to reports of suspicious activity at a Brunswick home.
Officers arrived and found the garage door open, cabinets that appeared to be pried open, and ammo scattered across the floor.
Law enforcement found a vehicle matching the description given by a witness. Tucker, the only occupant of the vehicle, fled on foot before he was apprehended by officers after a brief manhunt.
A search of Tucker’s vehicle revealed 20 stolen firearms taken from the Brunswick residence. Tucker was prohibited from owning firearms due to multiple prior felony convictions.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) investigated the case with assistance from local law enforcement and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
