“The United States Marshals Service will track you, we will find you, and we will return you to face the consequences of your actions. There is no safe haven,” said Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Josh Taylor for the District of Maine in a press release.
Marshal Service investigators determined that Jaime A. Oktay, 56, of Oklahoma, had allegedly fled to Maine in an attempt to evade an arrest warrant for aggravated possession of child sexual abuse material and two counts of possessing, procuring, manufacturing, selling, or distributing child sexual abuse material.
The U.S. Marshals’ Maine Violent Offender Task Force (MVOTF) located Oktay at a residence in Waldoboro and arrested him without incident.
He is currently awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.
