Bangor Mailman Draws OUI in Work Vehicle

The Bangor Police Department arrested a mailman on Monday after he allegedly drove a mail delivery vehicle while drunk.

At approximately 4:02 p.m., the Bangor Police Department responded to reports of a mail van operating erratically in the area of French Street.

Police located the van and identified the operator as Anthony Federico, 43, of Bowerbank.

While speaking with Bowerbank, the police noticed signs of impairment.

Following additional investigation, police arrested Federico on a charge of operating under the influence.

He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail.
