In October 2024, the Maine State Police stopped a vehicle on I-95 driven by Cyrus Griffin, 42, of Connecticut.

During the stop, police learned that Griffin was on parole following a homicide conviction, with conditions preventing him from leaving Connecticut.

Troopers searched Griffin and found more than $2,000 in cash on his person, along with suspected drugs.

A search of the vehicle revealed a handgun hidden under the driver’s seat, drug paraphernalia, nearly a pound of cocaine, 135 grams of fentanyl, and a drug-cutting agent.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) investigated the case, and Griffin pleaded guilty to the drug charges on April 1, 2025.

This thug is not a minor, has been convicted of several crimes including man slaughter, why no picture? Since he is a Connecticut criminal, why is he not being sent back to Connecticut rather than being give a cot and three hots for five years at the expense of Maine taxpayers? From what I have read, the cost of keeping a prisoner in Maine is approximately $85.000.00 per year.
