The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Connecticut man and a woman on Thursday during a warrant execution in Greenbush following a months-long drug investigation.

At approximately 2:15 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department Special Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Main Road in Greenbush, obtained following a lengthy drug investigation.
During the warrant execution, law enforcement allegedly seized cocaine and fentanyl, with assistance from K-9 Memphis.
Deputies arrested Monroe Richardson, 62, of Connecticut, and charged him with unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, falsifying physical evidence, misuse of identification, and fraud.
Law enforcement also arrested Starr Russell, 35, whose place of residence was not provided, on charges of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and falsifying physical evidence. She was also arrested on three outstanding arrest warrants and four counts of violating conditions of release.
Both suspects were transported to the Penobscot County Jail, where they remained incarcerated as of Friday morning.
The FBI, the Old Town Fire Department, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs assisted in the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges and arrests may follow.
