Deputies executed the warrant at approximately 9:30 a.m. at the residence of Allison Brown, 42, of Madison, on Naomi Avenue. They obtained the warrant after a month-long investigation into alleged drug sales from the residence.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division executed the warrant along with patrol deputies and allegedly discovered a small amount of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Law enforcement also reportedly discovered a larger amount of suspected drugs that are awaiting testing, along with controlled pills, digital scales, drug packaging materials, and drug-related documentation.
During the raid, law enforcement arrested Brown on a charge of possession of scheduled drugs, along with another person, Matthew Reilly, 35, of Skowhegan.
Reilly was charged with possession of scheduled drugs with priors and was arrested on a probation hold following a conviction for fentanyl possession.
Reilly is currently being held without bail, with his hearing set for July 8.
Brown was issued a lenient $60 bail, with a hearing also set for July 8.
The Sheriff’s Department warned that additional charges may be forthcoming after more of the suspected drugs are tested and when the Somerset District Attorney reviews the case.
The department credited citizen information for the success of the enforcement operation.
