The U.S. Marshals executed a high-risk warrant on Howe St. in Lewiston on Monday, searching for two fugitives from justice wanted for a Massachusetts homicide—and the Maine Wire was along for the ride for the Marshals’ first-ever media embed operation.

Thompson, right, was arrested on an outstanding Massachusetts warrant for homicide while Slade, left, was suspected of serving as an accomplice after the fact. Both individuals were transported to a nearby facility for processing.

The interagency enforcement action resulted in four arrests, including the homicide suspect, a Brockton, Mass., man who had recently been released after serving a 15-year sentence for manslaughter.

The Marshals also apprehended a female from Massachusetts suspected of serving as an accomplice after the fact to the homicide, as well as two juveniles with outstanding warrants for burglary and assault.

Michael Thompson, 35, the homicide suspect, and Dayana Slade, 25, were both escorted out of the Howe St. triple-decker by U.S. Marshals after officers located them hiding on the third floor of a sparsely furnished and seemingly disused apartment building after initially detaining the three juvenile suspects in front of the apartment building.

Thompson and Slade surrendered without incident.

The relationship between the two juveniles arrested at the Howe St. residence and Thompson was not immediately clear; however, a search of their vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia as well as three handguns, one of which had been reported stolen in Auburn.

U.S. Marshals from Maine and Massachusetts, officers from the Lewiston Police Department, and the Mass State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) participated in the enforcement action as the Maine Wire observed.

“The U.S. Marshals want criminals and wanted persons to understand one thing clearly: there is no safe Haven. We will go through doors over fences and leave no stone unturned in our relentless pursuit to bring fugitives to justice here in Maine,” said Ryan Guay Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the District of Maine.

“There’s nowhere to hide,” Guay said.

Janet, you are really protecting us from the bad guys, aren’t US Marshals working for TRUMP!!!!!

Murder, assault, burglary…

Yet Mills and the democrats insist that these people be protected.

Telling.

And the DEMOCRATS want to restrict lawful citizen gun ownership

There’s no difference between the morals of this criminal and the Maine democrats who protest against ICE.
