PORTLAND, Maine – The Portland Police Department has released its weekly calls for service data for March 9 through March 15 as part of what it described as an ongoing effort to provide transparency to the public.

The department said weekly arrest logs and daily media logs are also available through its public statistics page.
Among the top arrest charges during the reporting period were Violating Condition of Release with 15 cases, followed by Warrant with 14, Unlawful Possession of Drugs with 12, Criminal Trespass with 10, and Criminal Mischief with 5.
The department also reported its top calls for service for the week. Leading the list were 911 hang-up calls with 156, followed by motor vehicle stops with 99, person(s) bothering calls with 82, pedestrian checks with 78, and well-being checks with 63.
Police also highlighted several selected calls from the March 9–15 reporting period.
On March 9, 2026, officers arrested a 35-year-old man on charges of Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault, Criminal Restraint, and Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening.
That same day, police arrested a 55-year-old man on State Street and charged him with Unlawful Possession of Scheduled W Drugs, Disorderly Conduct, and Violating Conditions of Release.
On March 13, 2026, someone stole the wheels off a vehicle at Quirk Chevrolet on Brighton Avenue. The loss was valued at $5,000, and police said the case remains under investigation.
