New York Minor Busted in Rockland for Drug Trafficking

The Rockland Police Department arrested a minor from New York on Wednesday on drug trafficking charges.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., the Rockland Police Department received information from the Knox County Sheriff’s Department informing them that an individual  allegedly involved in drug trafficking operations on Vinalhaven Isle was in Rockland.

Knox deputies joined Rockland police to make contact with the suspect.

After meeting the suspect, police allegedly discovered crack cocaine, fentanyl, $4,000 in suspected drug proceeds, and a loaded handgun/

Police identified the suspect as a juvenile from Brooklyn, New York.

He was arrested and charged with felony aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and was transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.

Because the suspect is a minor, police did not release his name, exact age, or any booking photos.
