At approximately 12:42 p.m., an officer was patrolling when he spotted Julie Edwards, 61, of Bangor, driving by.

The officer was aware that the driver did not have a valid license and attempted a traffic stop.

The suspect came to a stop on March Street, and the officer spoke with Edwards and the two passengers.

One of the passengers allegedly used a false name, and the other initially refused to identify himself.

They were later identified as Adam Gray, 43, of Eddington, and Kevin Gray, 44, of Bangor.

Additional officers arrived and allegedly spotted drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, and all three occupants were ordered to exit the vehicle.

When officers informed the suspects that they would be searched, Kevin and Adam Gray allegedly fled.

Kevin was quickly apprehended, but Adam allegedly actively resisted arrest and injured an officer.

A K-9 unit was deployed to assist in the apprehension of Adam, who was arrested and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Adam Gray was charged with refusal to submit to arrest or detention, failure to give a correct name and date of birth, unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs, violation of conditions of release, and assault on a police officer.
