At approximately 8:33 p.m., Bangor police responded to a home on Sidney Street for reports of a man injured by a bow.

Police arrived to discover the victim with serious, but non-life-threatening, facial injuries.

Following an investigation, officers allegedly determined that the victim sustained his injuries when a suspect struck him with the end of a compound bow.

Police believe that the suspect, Scott Talbot, 55, of Bangor, had traveled to the victim’s home to sell him the bow but instead allegedly used it to attack the victim.

The police press release did not include details on the reason for the alleged attack.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, and police searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him that day.

The next day, Monday, officers found Talbot along with the bow used in the alleged attack.

Talbot was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and violation of conditions of release.
