VIDEO: MaineHousing reduces per-unit cost by 36%

Peter Anastos, chairman of the MaineHousing Board of Commissioners, and State Treasurer Bruce Poliquin talk about the “astounding” results of new management at MaineHousing, which has driven costs per unit down by 36% and will create 148 more units of affordable housing units than last year. Last year, 177 units were created; this year, 325 will be created at a cost savings of $74,000 less per unit.
