TMW Daily CatchDemocracy Alliance: A secretive group of left-wing billionaires will meet this week in Chicago to plan strategies for advancing a progressive agenda and thwarting conservative politicians, WatchDog.org reports. S. Donald Sussman, a billionaire Democratic donor who is married to Democratic U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree, is reportedly a member of the George Soros-led group. A New York Times article last year said Sussman would be funding a “consortium” of left-wing groups aimed at defeating Republican Gov. Paul LePage this fall. No word as to whether Sussman is attending the Chicago event.

Democrats Face Midterm Challenge
: Pew Research’s Center for the People & the Press released polling on Monday that shows Democrats facing an increasingly daunting challenge as the party heads into the 2014 midterm elections. Pew writes, “With the midterm elections six months away, Democrats are burdened by an uneven economic recovery and a stubbornly unpopular health care law. Perhaps equally important, Barack Obama’s political standing is in some respects weaker than it was at a comparable point in the 2010 campaign, which ended with the Republicans gaining a majority in the House.”

Feds Ponder Medicaid Cuts: Outgoing Health Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has proposed a controversial solution to a problem many states are having enrolling people in Medicaid through Obamacare’s HealthCare.gov exchanges. The problem is that technical difficulties have resulted in a backlog of Medicaid applications that states are struggling to process. Sebelius’ solution is to reduce federal funding for administrative tasks related to the program. Although HHS believes looming federal cuts would incentivize states to process backlogs quickly, some analysts say the move would punish states that are still suffering as a result of problems with HealthCare.gov.

New D’Souza Docu: America, the forthcoming documentary from Dinesh D’Souza, has a new preview video on YouTube. D’Souza, whose previous documentary, 2016: Obama’s America, became the second-highest grossing political documentary of all time, has said his aim is to challenge contemporary criticisms of American greatness and exceptionalism. Check out the preview below:

Electile Dysfunction: “If you have a Boehner lasting longer than 23 years, seek immediate medical attention.” That’s anti-incumbent innuendo tea party favorite J.D. Winteregg is using to criticize his opponent, U.S. Speaker of the House John Boehner, an Ohio Republican. Although the ad succeeded in going viral, it cost Winteregg his job as an adjunct professor at a small Christian college in Cedarville, Ohio.

Bible Banning: Teachers in Florida have banned reading the Bible during free reading time, according to a report from Breitbart News: “Officials at Broward County Public Schools banned a fifth grader from reading the Bible during “free reading” time, according to lawyers from the Liberty Institute who are threatening to sue the school for violating the First Amendment.”

Left-wing Group in Hot Water: The Maine People’s Alliance found itself in hot water following an offensive attack on a GOP Rep. MPA mailers targeting Republicans accused them of having “no spine” and failing to “stand up” to LePage. Among the recipients of the mailers was Rep. Dale Crafts (R-Lisbon Falls), who has used a wheelchair for the past 26 years. The mailer has attracted national attention and even earned a story from the Portland Press Herald. Although Senate President Justin Alfond (D-Portland) and House Speaker Mark Eves (D-North Berwik) have yet to comment on the matter, some elected Democrats are already trying to distance themselves from the radical activist group.
