Have you heard how cold outside it is? Well, if you haven’t, it’s wicked cold.

The National Weather Service out of Caribou posted an infographic showing its station at Mt. Katahdin measured a low of -90°F when considering windchill.

Wind Chill Warning for ALL of Eastern & Northern #Maine from Late Thursday Night – Saturday Evening. Wind Chills 50-60° Below Zero across the North with 40-50° Below Zero. Actual air temperatures will be well below zero. #MEwx pic.twitter.com/h8plMn1OwM

It’s so cold outside television news reporters are holding wet pants and ice cube trays for their live shots.

Frozen pants are back! Make sure to change your clothes if they get wet!

A little experiment this morning as the temperature starts to plummet here in Boston.

I filled up an ice tray at 5am. The air temperature was 30°. How long will it take to freeze?

Temps are expected to continue to fall into the teens this morning with subzero wind chills. pic.twitter.com/yBaiix7eyT

Thankfully, Maine CDC Director Nirav Shah has sent out multiple reminders to wear warm clothes.

1/Hey y'all – it's gonna be #cold in #Maine this Fri/Sat.

Dangerously cold. Some might even say wicked cold.

So like if you normally snow blow your driveway in shorts and flip flops while sipping a @dunkindonuts iced coffee, take note.

1/Hey #Maine-frostbite and hypothermia are no joke.

You could lose a finger, a limb, or even die. Here's what you need to know.

First, cold-related ER visits are real. With the upcoming Arctic blast, we expect to see Mainers needing emergency care. Don't be one of them. pic.twitter.com/yLYL4tiJ3c
