The Maine Community College System has been intentionally recruiting noncitizens to take advantage Gov. Janet Mills’ “free community college” program, the Maine Wire reported Wednesday.

Thursday morning, Maine Wire Editor-in-Chief Steve Robinson and State Sen. Jim Libby (R-Cumberland) joined WVOM’s George Hale and Ric Tyler to explain how lawmakers discovered that Maine tax dollars are being used to subsidize the educations of people who aren’t from Maine — or even the U.S.

I’m just curious if these out of state students or refugees will need to declare a major to receive free tuition. My child, an In state hs graduate 2022 was told in January that they must be accepted to a program to receive free tuition.

Peanuts compared to the billions stolen from American Taxpayers to pay for K-12 education for illegal aliens!
Think about it: 1,000,000 school age illegal aliens/fraudulent asylum seekers multiplied by average annual per student spending of $16,993.00 = 16,993,000,000.00 stolen from American Taxpayers every year!

Also worth mentioning- the dismal graduation rates at Maine Community Colleges. A very insulated system, that isn’t getting the results it should to warrant more investment.
