Maine law enforcement has executed three search warrants in March on suspected illegal marijuana cultivation sites throughout northern Maine, the Somerset Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday.

The drug raids, which targeted one property two properties in Norridgewock and one in nearby Madison, resulted in the seizure of more than 900 mature marijuana plants and more than 30 pounds of processed cannabis.

The sheriff’s office also seized cash $39,000 — the suspected proceeds of black market drug activity — along with a 2022 Toyota SUV and various drug paraphenalia.

Jiamin Liao, 29, with addresses in Maine, California, and New York, was the only individual arrested during the enforcement actions.

She made $10,000 cash bail almost immediately.

According to the sheriff’s office and the Somerset Registry of Deeds, Liao is the property owner for the Thurston Hill Road property in Madison and the Norridgewock Road residence in Norridgewock.

Both of Liao’s properties were raided on Monday, while a third location on Perkins Street in Norridgewock was raided on March 18.

According to the sheriff’s office, she was initially charged with Cultivation of Marijuana (Class B, over 500 marijuana plants) and Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs (Class A, marijuana over 20 pounds).

Liao’s bail was set at $10,000.00 cash, a sum she posted on March 25, 2024.

Liao’s initial Court appearance in scheduled for July 3, 2024 in the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court.

Here are the details on the properties:

571 Thurston Hill Rd., Madison, ME: Liao acquired this property in May 2022. In the warranty deed, she gave her address as Flushing, NY. However, when she took out a mortgage with Hometown Equity Mortgage, LLC, she provided an address in Rosemead, CA.

114 Upper Main St, Norridgewock, ME: Liao purchased this property in cash in Dec. 2023. In the warranty deed for this transaction, Liao listed a third address, this time in Woodside, NY.

107 Perkins St., Norridgewock, ME: According to tax records, the owner of this property is Patrick Yam of East Elmhurst, NY. Yam purchased the property in Aug. 2021 using a mortgage from Quontic Bank. On the warranty deed, Yam supplied a different address in Fresh Meadows, NY. Curiously, the mortgage agreement was notarized in the state of Nevada.

Yam did not return a phone call seeking comment.

I wonder if she’ll show up for court or run back to her Chinese Communist Party (CCP) masters.

“Mills said he was unaware of local and national reporting about the proliferation of illegal drug trafficking operations throughout rural Maine or their connections to Asian Transnational Criminal Organizations. He was also unaware of ongoing political debates in Maine and other states about prohibiting foreign nationals of adversarial nations from owning property in the U.S.” This is the brother of our Governor and the his sister is a member of the Maine Bar. Sounds like Joe and his Son. Also the real estate agent should be looked in to and it is also asked about on your federal tax forms. Is there an honest political leader out there?
