AG Garland Had “No Theory” About Triad Weed in Maine When Asked by Susan Collins, Avoiding Mentioning China by Name in His Response to Questions

U.S. Attorney General (AG) Merrick Garland could not provide an answer when asked by Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) about the motivation of Chinese criminals operating hundreds of illegal marijuana grow sites throughout Maine.

“Particularly in our rural communities, Chinese nationals are establishing and operating illegal marijuana growing operations. I first raised concerns about this problem in June of 2022. Thanks to the work of some enterprising Maine journalists, we now know that there are more than 200 such operations operating in houses across our state,” said Sen. Collins, “What are the Criminal Division, the National Security Division, and the US Attorney’s Office in Maine doing to address these illegal growing operations? And, in particular, what are they doing to support the tremendous, but under-resourced effort at the state, county, and local level?”

AG Garland could not provide a specific answer to Collins’ question, instead highlighting the involvement by federal law enforcement agencies such as the FBI in some raids on the illegal weed sites.

He also claimed that the issue is a “top priority” of the U.S. attorney’s office in Maine.

“I don’t think anybody could take this more seriously than our US Attorney there, and she is able to harness the resources of all of our agencies. Not only our own, but also Department of Homeland Security and IRS,” said Garland.

He was, however, unable to provide any specifics on actions allegedly taken by the U.S. Attorney.

Collins’ followed up her first question by asking Garland about the motive behind China’s plan to send its citizens to illegally enter the U.S. and establish criminal operations.

“Do you have a theory on why the Chinese are sending people illegally into our country to establish these grow operations? As you point out, it’s not just Maine, I believe Oklahoma, for example, has had a problem as well,” said Collins.

Garland could not provide information on the motive, other suggesting that the operations dedicated to selling illegal drugs could be, at least in part, motivated by a desire for profit.

“I don’t have a theory now. Normally, I develop a theory by learning the facts from the different investigative entities that look into this. So, at this point, I don’t have a theory,” said Garland.

"I can't tell you what the specific motivation here is."

While responding to Collins’ questions, Garland carefully avoided mentioning China at all, referring only to “transnational criminal organizations” and failing to acknowledge any involvement by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Collins has made numerous efforts to discover the motive behind the weed farms, but has not received satisfactory answers.

In March, Collins asked FBI Director Christopher Wray about the CCP’s motive.

The FBI entirely ignored her inquiry about the deeper motive behind the conspiracy.

Collins has submitted numerous letters asking the U.S. Department of Justice to crackdown on the hundreds of grow sites in Maine, but to no avail.

Currently, fewer than 40 out of over 270 Chinese weed sites identified by The Maine Wire have been raided by law enforcement.

While some arrests have been made, multiple Chinese nationals arrested at the grow sites are currently at large, as they have been released on bail and skipped their court dates.

Isn’t it amazing that Garland and Mayorkas always have memory issues when they are questioned in Congress. When that doesn’t work they outright lie and get away with it.

“Garland could not provide information on the motive.” The MOTIVE you clueless imbecile (or deliberate enabler), is that the CCP is at war with the U.S. to be the world’s #1 superpower using “unrestricted warfare”.

I suggest everyone read the 2005 “Secret Speech” by Gen. Chi Haotian -J.R. Nyquist. As far fetched as it sounds, their purpose is to colonize the U.S. with any means necessary which includes not just the Triad Weed situation but also poisoning 500,000 Americans with Fentanyl and murdering another 1.2 million with the Wuhan bioweapon ((C-19).

No doubt many of our elite politicians have been getting bribed to allow this to happen. And, the useless lamestream media labels those who understand what’s really happening as conspiracy theorists.

I would hardly call asking “do you have a theory?” a “grilling” by Collins. I know she has a physical problem with vocalizing, and I am not ridiculing that, but she didn’t challenge him or call him out in the least. It’s pretty obvious that he just could not care less about the situation and has no intention of doing anything about it. Whatever “investigation” is going on will go nowhere. Collins should have been screaming bloody murder, figuratively, about all these ILLEGAL Chinese nationals being here in the first place.

…’No Theory’ Garland has nothing meaningful to add to any conversation. He and the other lying a$$ Mayorkas are great at political speech and avoiding anything that has any meat or information that could shed light on the issues we face as a Country today. As a fact, those two alone have done more harm and damage to this Republic, creating the most political division, than OBiden and his other lying ilk have done! We will never vote our way out of this Democrat infestation and purposeful takedown of this great country!

BTW, Collins is a softball player and merely asked Garland phony questions in order to take up time and space so it looks like she’s an actual 2nd District advocate…someone PLEASE primary her in ’26!

I recall Obama advancing Garland as a non partisan, law and order nominee for the Supreme Court. The mainstream news media all agreed. Thank God Republicans opposed Obama’s 11th hour trickery.

I wonder if Collins has a theory as to where the fentynal that is killing Mainers comes from. She does not care, never has.

1st , Collins views her constituents sole purpose as providing her with privilege and power .2nd,Can anyone tell me of any significant achievement that Susan Collins has done ? (Helping Sam Bankman Fried Launder money doesn’t count .)remember this is the same woman who called the U.S. Capitol Police because someone wrote “Nasty’s “on the side walk in chalk outside her Bangor Home. So forgive me for not buying her “GRILLING” of Garland … More boot licking by the press . Not one press outlet in Maine holds her to account , She claims that she donated the funds she received from S.B.F. to charity but her offices refuse to state which charity. Remember this is the woman who stated on the VOM the Zelinsky ( The Baltic Pug) was a Statesman in the mold of Winston Churchill…..She is a Fraud and a Corrupt Hack …
