U.S. DHHS Announces $176 Million Contract with Moderna to Produce mRNA Bird Flu Vaccine

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced on Tuesday that it will give $176 million in taxpayer dollars to the pharmaceutical giant Moderna to produce an mRNA shot for H5N1 Avian Flu, commonly known as bird flu.

“Importantly, we are doing this work in partnership with some of the nation’s leading scientists and clinicians. The Biden-Harris Administration won’t stop until we have everything we need to prepare for pandemics and other public health emergencies that impact the American public,” said DHHS Secretary Xavier Becerra.

The new deal comes as many in the media have focused on the potential outbreak of a deadly new pandemic if bird flu makes a widespread jump from livestock to humans.

The announcement suggests that the shots will only be deployed in the event of another pandemic, although it is unclear whether that will remain the public health policy.

The $176 million is intended to help Moderna develop the injections and will not pay for actual doses, meaning that if the government orders vaccines, more taxpayer money will likely be needed to fund the purchase.

The awarded funds came as a part of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority program, which has awarded contracts for various influenza vaccines with the intention of preventing or preparing any future pandemics.

The announcement comes shortly after Finland announced that it will become the first nation in the world to begin vaccinating humans against bird flu.

Officials have claimed that a bird flu outbreak would be far more deadly than COVID, with some sources claiming that the disease would have a 56 percent mortality rate, although many others remain skeptical.

Why are taxpayers funding this ? I thought the reason the drug companies charge so much was so they could PAY for their own R&D, another lie by democrats?

What a bunch of democrat party bull manure. They are planning on this being the next covid before election day this fall. Why are we giving tax dollars to private companies? is it to help them be part of the scam? These communists in our government just make me sick to my stomach.

mRNA has already proven to be problematic in numerous tests/studies. This has to be political in nature. Do not take any med made with mRNA.

This stuff is not unlike a computer where the programming is stored in the DNA and the controlling software is in the mRNA. You can mess with the subroutine OK but don’t mess with the master controls. Modified mRNA will generate flawed commands to your DNA and to your cells

This was expected, they didn’t ‘off’ enough the first time with the fake covid jab! So now round two with the low grade poison, so they have to pare down the population with another round! Hang on and stand your ground, and remember their manta “my body my choice”!
