Two men were arrested on Thursday in Farmington following a significant drug bust that resulted in the seizure of cocaine, fentanyl, firearms, and suspected drug proceeds, according to state police.

Jason Robbins, 42, of Farmington, and Miguel Alvarez, 39, of Webster, Massachusetts, were taken into custody by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) and the Farmington Police Department. Both men face charges of aggravated trafficking in cocaine and fentanyl.

The arrests culminated a three-month investigation by the MDEA’s Western District Task Force and the Farmington Police, which involved undercover drug purchases. Investigators determined that Robbins was distributing large quantities of cocaine and crack cocaine in the Farmington area, with Alvarez identified as his out-of-state supplier, according to the state police.

On Thursday afternoon, agents executed search warrants on Robbins’ vehicle and residence on Twin Birches Road, leading to the discovery of approximately 420 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of fentanyl, seven firearms, and over $5,000 in cash, believed to be drug proceeds. The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $40,000.

According to the booking information from the Franklin County Jail, Robbins was described as “obese.”

Robbins and Alvarez are currently being held without bail at the Franklin County Jail and are scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
