Former Republican President Donald Trump quickly turned President Joe Biden’s insult, calling his supporters “garbage,” into an opportunity to celebrate working-class Americans by riding in a garbage truck and speaking in a safety vest.

“How do you like my garbage truck? This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden,” said President Trump.
Trump delivered his remarks while sitting in the passenger seat of a garbage truck with a campaign ad on the side, then proceeded to answer reporters’ questions.
CNN interrupted a live broadcast to switch to footage of Trump wearing a yellow-orange safety vest while answering questions.
Social media began referring to the Trump-branded garbage truck as “Garbage Force One” after the truck’s driver posted a video on TikTok recounting his time driving the former president.
“He said ‘how about we take this bad boy through McDonalds,’ and I said ‘sir I don’t think she’ll fit in the drive through’ he said ‘it’s all right, I used to work there,'” said the driver.
After riding in the garbage truck, Trump attended a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, still wearing his safety vest.
“Kamala and Joe call all of us and them, even them, garbage. I call you the heart and soul of America,” said Trump at the rally, “I want to thank all of our incredible sanitation workers across America.”
Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also joined in the trolling, helping a garbage crew with their work while campaigning with Trump.
“We’re not the garbage, we’re *taking out* the garbage,” said Ramaswamy on X.
The comment is reminiscent of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s infamous 2016 gaffe, in which the then-Democratic candidate for president referred to Trump supporters as “deplorables” and “irredeemable.”
