Two Wiscasset men were arrested last Thursday after they were allegedly found with an arsenal of guns and a huge variety of drugs.

Wiscasset officers executed search warrants last week at residences at 263 Poler Pit Road and 123 Lowelltown Road as part of an investigation into the manufacturing and trafficking of illegal drugs and firearm trafficking.

At the Lowelltown Road address, officers allegedly discovered evidence of drug trafficking and firearm violations.

They seized unspecified amounts of drugs and cash, along with tools, firearm accessories, and 24 firearms.

Officers then searched the Pooler Pit Road residence and allegedly seized more illegal drugs.

The raids also led to the arrests of Dustan Barnes, 39, of Wiscasset, and Ronald Gonyou, 53, of Wiscasset.

Barnes was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, and six counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs for allegedly possessing cocaine base, cocaine, psilocybin, Adderall, and oxycodone.

Gonyou was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs for allegedly possessing cocaine and oxycodone, along with unlawful furnishing of a scheduled drug.
