Vermont border patrol agent, 44-year-old David Maland, was killed in a shooting while conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 91 in northern Vermont on Monday. The incident left one suspect dead and another injured and in custody.

“Every single day, our Border Patrol agents put themselves in harm’s way so that Americans and our homeland are safe and secure. My prayers and deepest condolences are with our Department, the Agent’s family, loved ones, and colleagues,” said Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Benjamine Huffman.

The tragic incident took place about 20 miles from the Canadian border in Coventry, Vermont, in the Border Patrol’s Northern Swanton sector, which also encompasses parts of New York and New Hampshire.

Prior to his time in Vermont, Maland served in the Border Patrol in Texas.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), along with the FBI, has promised to investigate the alleged murder of Maland and release further information as it becomes available.

They have thus far remained silent on the details of the situation, failing to mention what prompted the traffic stop, what led to the shootout, or the names and immigration statuses of the two suspects.

Despite the lack of official information, Ali Bradley, a reporter for News Nation, released details allegedly provided to her by an anonymous source in the DHS regarding the matter.

Bradley claimed that the deceased suspect was a German man in the U.S. on an expired H1B work visa, while the other suspect was a woman whose immigration status remains unknown.

She claimed that both suspects were armed.

“Update via DHS sources who tell me there were 2 suspects in the altercation along the highway in Vermont yesterday—One male and one female. The male was from Germany (H1B visa – overstay). Both were armed. The agents performed a vehicle stop, and at some point a gunfight ensued,” said Bradley.

The FBI and DHS have not confirmed or denied Bradley’s statements.

And some people on the left are already blaming trump because if Trump didn’t threaten to deport them they wouldn’t be so “desperate”

I thank Joe Biden and all the other Democrats who not speak up.

The two suspects — a man and a woman — were on the radar of authorities before Monday’s incident and were reportedly looking to buy real estate — in the Northeast Kingdom. The man who was killed has been identified by the FBI as a German national in the U.S. on a current visa. The woman, who was wounded, is an American, and is now in federal custody. Authorities have not released any other information on what prompted the shooting, the identity of the suspects, or if other agents were involved.

The bomb squad was also called in as a precaution after the stop but no bomb or hazardous material was found.

Now WHAT were they up to? And did the dog smell a bomb-making residual odor?
