Newly-Declared Massachusetts Transgender Sanctuary City Rolls Out New DEI Training for Firefighters

Worcester, Massachusetts, is now mandating a new regimen of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training for firefighters, just months after declaring itself an official transgender sanctuary city, in an apparent rebuff of President Donald Trump’s various orders opposing both DEI and gender ideology.

“Integrating DEI into firefighter training isnโ€™t just about policyโ€”itโ€™s about building a
culture of respect, inclusivity, awareness, and readiness to serve all members of our
diverse community,” said Worcester Chief Equity Officer Kevin Lovaincy, โ€œThis curriculum equips recruits with the tools to navigate diverse environments, foster stronger team dynamics, and enhance community trustโ€”ultimately making them better firefighters and public servants.”

Any recruits hoping for a career serving their community as Worcester firefighters will have to undergo six sessions of DEI training, which will instruct them on the discriminatory principles that say some people are either privileged or oppressed based on immutable traits such as gender and race.

According to the city’s press release, the six sessionsโ€”part of the 14-week training curriculum for new firefightersโ€”will focus on creating a “respectful and inclusive fire station culture,” strengthening team dynamics, and applying DEI principles in the field.

The press release did not specify how the principles of DEI could help firefighters staunch the flames of a burning building or run in to rescue people trapped inside.

By the end of the training, firefighters will have a “comprehensive understanding” of DEI and how to apply its principles in firefighting. Although the release does not say whether existing firefighters will need to undergo the full six-session curriculum, it does state that graduates will be given continuing DEI training and follow-up resources.

The release did not contain many specifics on the actual content of the training, but a picture accompanying the press release appears to show a group of perplexed firefighters watch as an instructor teaches them about the “gender unicorn.”

As President Trump has worked to crack down on radical gender ideology and DEI in education and public institutions across the country, Worcester has only intensified its commitment to the far left.

In February, the Worcester City Council voted to declare it a transgender sanctuary city and vowed that they would not comply with any state or federal laws aimed at curtailing gender ideology.

Does this new DEI course teach these fairies how to catch there mascot the gender unicorn? That way they can save the city money on transportation expenses riding there unicorn to the scene, maybe the gender unicorn can also teach the new fairies how they can to fly to the scene themselves.
Giddy up little unicorn.
