A Portland homeless man is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting a victim with a brick and threatening another person with a knife.
Portland Police say they responded to 5 Portland St. at about 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of an assault had taken place earlier that day.
Witnesses told police that a suspect had thrown a brick at a victim before proceeding to assault him, and that the suspect had threatened another individual with a knife.
Police say that later on Wednesday, they arrested 34-year-old Abdoalmonim Kodi, who was described as “unhoused,” and charged him with assault, aggravated assault and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.

Kodi was taken to Cumberland County Jail.
The victim went to Maine Medical Center where he was treated and released, according to Portland Police.
