Portland Woman Found Shot in Apartment, Suspect Facing Domestic Violence Charges

Portland Police have made an arrest following a Sunday shooting that left a 36-year-old woman with non-life threatening injuries.

Police responded to 72 Oak St. (Oak Street Lofts) in Portland at 8:18 a.m. on Sunday for a report of a shooting inside of an apartment.

Upon arrival, police found a 36-year-old female from Portland suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The Portland Police Special Reaction Team and Criminal Investigations Divisions were called in to assist with the investigation.

Less than an hour later, police located the suspect near the corner of Clifton Street and Vannah Avenue and took him into custody.

Tanade Muse, 31, of Portland, was arrested and charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, falsifying physical evidence and the illegal possession of a firearm due to a prior felony conviction.

Muse was taken to the Cumberland County Jail.

Why no mugshot? Maybe the dems ought to pass a law that restricts the access for gun ownership to law abiding people and anyone with a felony conviction is prohibited from possessing one. Also, maybe his former girlfriend should have been able to buy a firearm for her protection and not have to wait 3 days, for no reason.

Hmmm….no mug shot, arrested in Portland with the Cumberland County Prosecutor. She’ll probably let ‘em go with no bail and dismiss the charges. District Attorney Jacqueline A. Sartoris, a Soros “elected” prosecutor who doesn’t prosecute illegals or anyone of color under 25 (or over for that matter). And we wonder why ME has a crime problem. 🤷‍♂️
