If you’re in the Midcoast region and you’re looking for some family-friendly fun this Saturday afternoon, you might check out the ‘Great American Picnic’ that Waldoboro Republicans are hosting at the Trump Wall between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., their Facebook page invites.

Located at 979 Washington Road, or Route 220, a few miles north of Moody’s Diner, the event offers a special “inflation reduction” price of just $9.47 and children under 12 without cost. Menu offerings include hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, salad, assorted other sides, desserts, drinks and watermelon.

For children, there will be a “Bouncy House” as well as assorted games to play. For those who want to “take a wack“ at something, there will be a “High Striker” available for those looking to try and ring the bell. There will also be some young rabbits available to purchase as well as a chance to win door prizes.

Speakers are also anticipated, though the lineup has yet to confirmed. In the event of rain, the picnic will be held on Sunday instead.
