The Maine Warden Service is searching for a snowmobiler who allegedly caused more than $20,000 worth of damage to a tree nursery in Dayton.

The Warden Service believes that at some point between February 26 and February 28, a suspect left a marked snowmobile trail in Dayton and drove through a roped-off area.

He allegedly destroyed numerous trees and saplings, causing over $20,000 in damages at Pierson Nurseries in Dayton.

The Saco Pathfinders Snowmobile Club and the Maine Snowmobile Association have each offered $500 for information leading to the arrest of the rogue snowmobiler. Maine Operation Game Thief, an anti-poaching organization, is offering $1,000.

Though the incident took place in February, the Warden Service first requested public assistance on Wednesday.
