An 81-year-old man from Kennebunk was seriously injured Tuesday evening when the Ford F-150 he was driving went veering off the road and crashed into a stone wall, authorities said.
According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred just before 5:15 p.m. near 404 Bridgton Road. The man reportedly lost control on the soft shoulder, over-corrected, crossed both lanes of traffic and struck the wall.
He was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries.
Deputies said alcohol appears to have been a factor. Charges are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
