Maine Republican legislative leaders will hold a press conference Tuesday to discuss allegations of MaineCare fraud involving Gateway Community Services, saying the matter may represent only the “tip of the iceberg.”

The briefing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Maine State House Welcome/Press Center.

According to a media advisory released Monday, Republican lawmakers plan to address allegations connected to Gateway Community Services and raise broader concerns about oversight of the state’s MaineCare program.

The event will be hosted by members of the Republican caucuses in the Maine Legislature. Media inquiries were directed to Jared Hirshfield of the Senate Republican Office and John Bott of the House Republican Office.

The press conference will be streamed live on the Maine Senate GOP Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MaineSenateGOP and the Maine House GOP Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MaineHouseGOP.
