At approximately 12:49 a.m., officers conducting proactive traffic enforcement pulled over a vehicle operated by Joshua A. Poissant, 38, of Arundel.

Police learned that Poissant was subject to two sets of bail conditions and requested assistance from a K-9 unit for a drug search.

K-9 Lobo responded and allegedly confirmed the presence of drugs in the vehicle, leading law enforcement to initiate a search.

During the search, police allegedly discovered 32.1 grams of cocaine and a substantial $16,074 in cash.

Though police did not mention them in the press release, an image of the seized contraband also included multiple open containers of alcohol, including nips of Fireball and Pink Whitney, a partially consumed bottle of New Amsterdam Raspberry Vodka, a can of premade Sex on the Beach cocktail, and a bottle of Bud Light.

Poissant was arrested on charges of aggravated trafficking of Schedule W drugs and two counts of violating conditions of release. He was transported to the York County Jail, where he is being held without bail.

In 2020, Poissant was arrested in New Hampshire when he was allegedly found with 15 lbs of marijuana and $23,000 in cash in his car.

In 2015, he was arrested for allegedly operating an illegal marijuana grow operation.
