At approximately 3:00 p.m., the Rockland Police Department received reports of drug use at the subsidized housing and began an investigation.
Officers spoke with multiple people well known to law enforcement, including people out on bail conditions and probation, and one person subject to an active arrest warrant.
Police allegedly discovered and seized 50 grams of fentanyl and an unspecified amount of methamphetamine and arrested three suspects.
Mark Gagne, 43, homeless, was arrested and charged with felony possession of scheduled drugs and a probation violation. He was released on probation just days previously following charges for drug trafficking and abuse of a corpse.
He reportedly incurred the abuse of a corpse charge after burning the remains of a man who had been shot in 2024, though he was not the shooter.
Makayla Batty, 29, homeless, was arrested and charged with “several” counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, violation of conditions of release, and was charged based on an active arrest warrant for unrelated drug trafficking activity.
She was subject to multiple sets of bail conditions at the time of the arrest.
Tianna Brancella, 30, of Warren, was arrested and charged with felony aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and violating conditions of release. At the time of her arrest, she was out on four sets of bail following several prior felony drug charges.
